Convenient Paint Recycling Sites Open 7 Days a Week
 The NCPD has developed a plan for a patent pending temporary mobile paint recycling system that can be placed at any paint dealer locations as well as HHW sites. This plan calls for placing mobile collection units for both latex and oil-based paints at multiple sites throughout a geographical area and on a rotating schedule so each day of the week in covered. This provides consumers with an easy way to drop off their paint for recycling at convenient locations where they shop.
The advantages for the consumer include convenient locations available at convenient hours and a safe, familiar place for paint drop-off that can be part of a normal shopping trip.
The advantages for the retailer/paint dealer include a positive way to draw potential customers to their site and good public relations as a local environmentally friendly "recycler. " Retailers can even consider offering special discount coupon promotions for savings on new paint as an incentive for customers to make a new purchase.
Large retail sites will have two specially designed trailers with containers positioned in a remote area of their parking lots. One trailer is designed to accept oil-based products and the other designed for accepting latex-based paint. Smaller sites or city locations will utilize specially designed cube or step vans to accept the post consumer paints. This plan makes it easy and convenient for consumers to recycle paint and does not require dealers to collect or store unwanted post consumer paint.
